Starting Over. It Can Be a Good Thing.

It’s been… one week since you looked at me…?

Sorry… *ahem*

And now that you’ve got that earworm firmly implanted in your brain…

It’s been… *counts on fingers and toes* …a long time since I’ve done this. Write a blog post. It’s been so long that Blogspot wouldn’t let me make changes or updates to my previous blog, The Writing on the Wall without creating a new blog, so here I am… with a new blog! I’ve since discovered that, upon creating this new one, I can, indeed, make updates to my original one. But, starting over isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes starting over can be a good thing. Therapeutic. Necessary even. At least, that’s what I’m going to tell myself.

In all honesty, I’ve been thinking about completely restarting this blog for a while now. Rebuilding it from the ground up as it were as I was beginning to feel like the original title didn’t match my blog style. The Writing on the Wall wasn’t exactly a blog about writing or walls. My posts don’t fit a particular topic or theme. I write about a variety of different things – writing, music, things that interest me, random run-of-the-mill everyday experiences that resonate with me. Moments that leave their fingerprints upon my life in some way, shape, or form. Hence the new title, Life’s Fingerprints Remain.

I am also restarting this blog in the hopes it will inspire me to get back into the habit of writing somewhat regularly. Will it work? I have absolutely no idea. But, here’s hoping!

Since my last blog post seven years ago, a lot has happened – a lot of changes and adjustments in all kinds of ways. Perhaps I’ll regale you folks with a few tales in future posts. But for now, I want to welcome you back to my tiny corner of the internet. I hope you have all been well and that life hasn’t been too crazy for you.

It feels good to be back. It’s a little bit like coming home. Hopefully, it stays that way.

I’ll see you all next time. And until next time, stay safe, stay well, and keep on keeping on.
